Encouraging and promoting excellence in the practice of cardiothoracic surgery, Encouraging innovation in and scientific understanding of cardiothoracic surgery. Promoting, undertaking, encouraging and assisting in research in cardiothoracic surgery and advancing the education of the public in cardiothoracic surgery.
Mr Graham Cooper, President
Graham Cooper qualified from Leeds University and trained in cardiothoracic surgery in Leeds, Sheffield, London and Paris. He has been consultant cardiac surgeon at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals since 1996 with a special interest in surgery of the thoracic aorta. During his time as a consultant he has been Clinical Lead and Clinical Director of the service. He is currently President of The Society for Cardiothoracic Surgery.
